Best used with Open VPN Its stable with good servers, Verizon cable TV or Fios best with openvpn set up at clients portal. Not the best but almost.

Shuts Down When I try to open the app it goes straight to "Private Internet Access stopped working" screen. On Samsung Note 4

Buggy App [SOLVED] Service works flawlessly on PC, both Windows and Mac. However, the app for Android is buggy, connects me, but limits my data sending and receiving, almost to non existent. Please fix this and you'll get your five stars. Update: It has been a while since I tried using the service on Android, and I just decided to test it now. I'm unsure how many updates I've gone through already, but I stick with what I previously said. Works beautifully on my Android now. You get your five.

Used to work but then decided to stop This app worked fine for a while on my Android Lollipop tablet but then one day up and quit (died on the process of adding routes). Talked with support and verified that I didn't have any other software that could possibly interfere. Tried different remote ports and other settings changes with no luck. Finally, at the suggestion of the support tech I installed and configured the OpenVPN client. Works great. They've got some work to do on this app but for now I'm sticking with the sure thing which is the OpenVPN option.

Serious stability issues... I love the service, when it is working, but it has serious stability issues and crashes constantly. Starting to wish I had not signed up for the 1 year plan.

Martin Poet at Nov. 21, 2014

Lollipop battery drain Hi, you app ran very well on KitKat, but lollipop it seems to be eating my battery life...

Miro Avramoff at April 2, 2015

This is not a joke! There are so much better services for "secure" encrypted and "private" "tunneling" of your whole device - so much better, then some official releases of the Biggest Brands in that immense Security Industry, that the traditional vulnerability of Microsoft® Windows® has brought to the IT sector. I've used, tried and made a logistic research of many, but now I think I finally have found the best for me - PIA as a sponsor of Gnome for Linux. I've tested: They're not a joke! At least not for KGB or Wahhabi fans.

Have been very happy But recently my laptop died and now I can only get my tablet to connect and not my S4. It keeps saying authentication failed. (EDIT) EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED AND THIS USED TO BE MY FAVORITE VPN. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CONNECT IN MONTHS AND CAN'T FIND ANY ANSWERS FOR WHY. THEN MY BANK ACCT WAS DEBITED BY THIS COMPANY EVEN THOUGH ITS BEEN ABOUT 6 MONTH'S GIVE OR TAKE SINCE I WAS ABLE TO USE THE APP

Taylor Hardin at Jan. 11, 2015

Doesnt work with 4.4.4 It doesnt want to connect to anything running CM11 Android 4.4.4. Do it right and support root. Anyone that is going to take the time to have a VPN will have or know how to root their device.

Edward Behringer at Jan. 13, 2015

Kit Kat 4.4 Bugs Galore! I am a an experienced user of VPN's and consider them an absolute neccessity considering ALL of my internet access is through VPN. I have been using PIA for two years now, and although I prefer to use the more "advanced" client app by Arnold Schwabe to get it done, I have yet to have any problems there since set up in two years. PIA rep told that I should just uninstall my reg app and install PIA app. Well, same problems. Routing, constant disconnects, and SLOW bandwidth.

Michael Lewis at Feb. 26, 2015

I solved the issue of the slow connection speeds if u login to your router and turn on your 5g it will increase the speeds

Chase Hulderman at Feb. 9, 2015

Good, easy to use, convenient... Not without issues This is an easier way to use PIA on your android device without manually configuring openvpn. However, it can infrequently crash, its not optimized for tablet use, and its fixed in portrait mode. Now major issues but keep me from rating it 4 stars. EDIT: Changing this to 3 stars. The fixed portrait-mode is actually really annoying, the app continues to crash, and I can't remove it from my notifications unless I make sure I completely connect and then disconnect.

Andreas Juju at Dec. 29, 2014

No go on lollipop It totally kills my data speed! Can't use my Internet connection for anything. As soon as I turn the VPN off the connection is flawless. Please fix this! Used to be a great app, despite the double notifications and poor design ;)

Bruno Reis at April 29, 2015

I think PIA could have done a much better APP... I really like PIA! The Windows version works very well for my needs. However, I can't say the same about the Android version. For example, I can't choose the server I wish to connect to. Also, I haven't been able to connect to it using a 3g/4g connection. I have tried 'playing' with the settings but no luck. And finally, the app isn't stable. Sometimes I just can't use it, despite having a strong WiFi signal. I wish it was as good as the Windows version.

Sanya IV Litvyak at Dec. 10, 2014

Good VPN however with battery draining issue. A generally good VPN with a wide range of options for advanced users, only problem I'm having is a battery draining issue on Lollipop.

Vinny Austin at Nov. 17, 2014

Great Love this, using for some time now. Upgraded to 5.0 on my gen 1 nexus 7 and app isn't working properly however. Works brilliantly on my moto x.

TLeonardis928 at Feb. 26, 2015

Connecting to VPN The company responded to my inquiry regarding failure to connect to vpn on my android device...stating to change the apn on your phone's network settings to ip4 from ip6. And I had to also change the roaming port on the app in settings to 80 to get it to work. Hope this helps.

Phillip Sutton at Jan. 28, 2015

Not as full featured as the PC client Can't set it up for port forwarding like on PC. Very frustrating when using a peer to peer connection. Customer support is useless to help resolve this. Edit: I figured it out myself. Change the remote port connection from auto to another port. Too bad the customer service person didn't think to mention that. It's not an issue on the PC client.

Chris Schryer at Feb. 13, 2015

Great app, recent issues I've used this app a lot and trust it to protect my passwords. As of today, however, it's begun crashing on launch. May be related to Cerberus app. I'm looking for answers but be aware that the most recent versions of PIA and Cerberus may not like each other.

Angel Simental at Feb. 6, 2015

Crashes. Service sucks is an understatement. Easy to use but it is always crashing. If I'm not doing anything data intense like reading text then it won't happen as often, but once you start looking at photos or videos, crashes galore. I don't know why it crashes so much. Always losing connection for some odd reason. Avoid this. I regret going with them.
