Courier is a mobile RSS news reader with enhanced security features, offline reading and sharing capability. We've designed it to be fast and light on slow networks and secure in case your network is monitored.

★ SECURE: Courier works with Orbot, Tor for Android ( to defend against network surveillance and protect your privacy
★ ENCRYPTED: Courier encrypts your stored news - and personal information - to protect your privacy
★ PANIC: Courier's configurable "panic" action will remove your news, your personal data and optionally the app itself with one swipe
★ SAFE: Courier securely caches your password with a configurable timeout. You can configure for repeated password entry failures to trigger data (and app!) deletion. And you can set a special "kill password".
★ AUTOMATIC: Courier quietly synchronizes your feeds in the background (manual mode available, too!)
★ CONTENT SHARE: secure, off-network, sharing of news articles with other users of Courier via Bluetooth (unsecure share available, too!)
★ PEER-TO-PEER APP SHARING: Get your friends set up with Courier by sharing the app over a common WiFi network or hotspot.
★ LIGHTWEIGHT: configure Courier to minimize network data use on low-speed networks or sync only on wi-fi
★ FAVORITES: mark articles as easily-retrieved favorites
★ PRE-CONFIGURED: Courier ships with desirable international news feeds, and it's easy to add your own
★ LANGUAGES: English, Chinese (中國的), Tibetan (བོད་ཡིག), Ukrainian (Український), Russian (русский)
★ AD-FREE: Courier is an ad-free, open-source application

Great App It's perfect. The panic button isn't useful to me, but I can see how it could be useful.

since sins at Feb. 21, 2015

What ia the point of this app? A panic button seriously and where do you need Tor when reading news? That is ridiculous. :D useless and stupid app.

pt k at March 19, 2015

Nice concept but does it work? Only works with predefined media sources. What's the point? I couldn't load content from media organizations I'm interested in

Import Feeds Has the ability to import OPML files been implemented yet?

Christopher Buckley at Aug. 22, 2014

Not ready for primetime Far from being a Feedly killer, this makes it very difficult to add feeds. Needs more work.

Joost Canters at Feb. 21, 2015

YES IT HAS TOR AND A PANIC BUTTON You don't see the point? Try reading the New York Times in Iran. Or a Richard Dawkins book in Indonesia. In China, reading Facebook is considered subversive and dangerous, to give you an idea. Cherish the luxury of not understanding this app.

Sean Holt at Feb. 5, 2015

Feeds Won't load Was pretty excited about this, but sadly it won't load any of the feeds.

Kelly Hunter at Sept. 22, 2014

Cool...! Another great app. by guardian! Only for those who have a brain, and use it!

Thaddæus Eckard at Sept. 14, 2014

Why does this exist? Am I missing something? A panic button for reading BBC, etc.? In what freakishly paranoid world does this belong?

Moataz ZS at May 18, 2014

How can I stop vibration when login ? I want stop vibration when login option and move to SD card option.

Michael Nelson at Feb. 16, 2015

Password issues When you first set it up it's fantastic. But the password doesn't work to log back in. The first time I thought it was my error. The second time I copy/pasted the password in during setup. Now it tells me the password is incorrect and then the app stops working.

You are the product Anonymize, encrypt & secure your everything. Everything about you is tracked, traced, databased and sold.

Kurt Padilla at June 22, 2015

Needs work. Adding feeds is difficult because the app keeps locking me out and I have to use copy-paste to get passwords from my manager to the password field. Then I get locked out again while trying to get the feed link from my browser. The timeout setting doesn't work apparently. Separately, I need a way to sync subscriptions and stats between devices/desktop.

Crashes on startup on Nexus 5 Marshmallow Big fan of Guardian Project's work, but this app won't load in marshmallow on my phone :(

Martin Holeyšovský at Sept. 7, 2015

Nice but could have more features A double passphrase would be nice - one to unlock, second to wipe data and unlock. || Also it would be nice if it could load more of the article than just the intro, jumping out of the app to read the article is a bit annoying :-/

Lincoln Hutchins at Oct. 27, 2015

Samsung GN2, Orbot fails to load when this application wants to run, or is installed. Great idea, but it doesn't run at all.

LLL 2yu at Feb. 21, 2016

Like it very much Worked very well on my cm12.1 but always force closes after updating to cm13. Tried reinstalling from play store but no effect. Though app is awesome please update it to support mm.

Christopher Opperman at Sept. 8, 2015

Some suggestions I am able to open links in Firefox, but not in Orweb. It would make more sense to be able to open in Orweb. Also, how do I mark an item as read so it no longer appears in the list?

john doe at Jan. 4, 2016

dumb This app does nothing. Say swipe down to sync news but doest actually load anything. Just always says successfully connect to TOR.

Paul Maher at March 15, 2016

Doesn't work for me at all Can't load any feeds
